An old barn and a new house along Winters Mill Parkway in Wimberley. Before the road was built, I hiked back here and got lost. It's hard to imagine, now that the landscape has been tamed.

It's bittersweet. There's so much of that where I live - I sound dreadfully old wandering around saying, "I remember when Johnnie Moss had his horses there, but now it's a neighborhood."

Yep, I hear you, Roadchick. Change is good but in moderation. I hope Im not here to see this country get swallowed up by housing developments and shopping malls.
