Cayo Costa island is 8 miles long and about a mile wide. The leeward side is accessable by boat from the Intercoastal Waterway. It is one of a string of barrier islands owned and protected by the state of Florida.

It seems to be a very nice place. I hope you enjoy. You are lucky, today is a very sad and cold day in France...
Thank you, Delphine. Florida is a nice place to visit, but I too am gone from this little paradise.
Great Florida sketches. I guess you had to adapt from the Texas scenes with rolling hills & cactus to the tropical vegetation & seascapes of Florida. Your photos also add another dimension to your accompanying sketches.
I know you prefer to draw on your moleskine, but some of these scenes may profit from being done on a larger sheet of paper. They are very good.
Thank you, Michael. For quite some time I've been searching for a brush pen that compliments larger art. I use the Faber-Castell artist PITT pens, which work well with small illustrations. But with larger drawings, the subtle line quality is lost. I tend to overcompensate by adding too much detail. The great thing about art is the ongoing learning experience. Thank you for the comment and visit!
