On Labor Day afternoon, I went for a drive out on a back road near Dripping Springs. It was hot & sunny, with a slight breeze. The air smelled like barbeque, the cows moo'd lazily as I sat sketching this old ranch house (not the first the first time I've sketched this). It was a moment to remember summertime before the damp cold sets in again this winter.

I can almost smell the homemade baked beans and biscuits emanating from this old place.
Wonderful!

Beautiful! It's "Dripping" with charm :)
If I lived in Dripping Springs, would I be a Dripping Springer? Or maybe just a Dripper? Anyway, thank you for the comments.
hey susan
love the house, have you ever done any animation or had your work the basis of an animated piece? i think it'd be great to see it in motion...
I've done mostly corporate animation work, lots of flying logos and the likes. Years ago I created Wizard of Oz type backgrounds for an in-house video for a large restaraunt chain. The actors were green screen keyed on top of the Wizard of Oz backgrounds. That was lots of fun. I'm very familiar with cell animation equipment and procedures, it would be great fun to do this with current illustrations.
Thank you for the visit & suggestion, ami plasse.
I always enjoy peeking at your work. Old builds and barns have an appeal to me too. I think they make great subjects for pen and ink.
