Punta Gorda, Florida. This tree is large enough to walk through. Unfortunately, through the years lots of graffiti has been carved into it.

Funny...the other days after your "Palm tree in the breeze" post I thought about how lovely you would do a Banyon Tree. The wriggly fronds of the leaves (in your palm branches) reminded me of the neat "roots" of this very amazing tree. I even went so far as to create a comment re: the palm but unfortunately got called away and never did post it. Then amazingly enough...you've done a Banyon Tree anyway! Strange? .. or maybe it's just that just "great minds" thing. wink!
