the old paintbrush
This was the best paintbrush. I used it for about five years. It is now retired but still holds its position amongst the other tools.

I enlarged the drawing to full size, then printed on paper from a large format architectural drawing printer. After cutting and priming the masonite board, I traced the drawing onto the surface. This is a great technique because it’s very accurate and clean. It looked just like a paint-by-number canvas, fresh out of the box.

floaty pen collection

Over the last twenty years or so, I've collected these souvenir pens on my travels. They come from Eskesen, a company in Denmark. The original pens, you may remember, are the naked man or naked woman. You tip the pen and their underwear disappear. I thought this was a great novelty when I was a kid. From this, they created little scenes in the pens from places all over the world, some are very obscure. I have well over 100 pens in my collection.

Sketchbooks Past
I've been through many sketchbooks through the years. Some people have commented on Moleskine sketchbooks being a trendy fad. In my experience, Moleskine stands at the top for quality and durability, both in paper and craftsmanship. This trend will most likely stay with me for a long time.
