the lesser seen signs on The Strip

I sketched these on the far south end of Las Vegas Boulevard. Not much of the old Las Vegas can be found these days. At least I couldn't find them while walking. The Laughing Jackalope sign is the stuff nightmares are made of. It looks like it was drawn on a napkin by a drunken patron of the bar & grill. Mr. Jackalope is wearing an eye patch. Who knows why.

This is really cool. Never been to Vegas, but it reminds me of Reno. Captures it all.

Thanks Rob. Yes, these gambling places are all alike. Now that the slots are electronic, no more clinking coin sounds. You get your winnings printed out of the slot machine of a paper voucher. That took some getting used to.

I've been enjoying your art on flickr for awhile now. I'm happy to have found your blog. Love how you have it set up to go from edge to edge on my screen too...I'm going to have to figure that out for mine.
