Oh wonderful rain! It's been so long since we have had substantial rain. Now it is here, a day of celebration! The whole world needs it. For me it's like a nurturing cleansing of the soul. I love rain.
I've heard that you guys have been getting rain. Someone said it's been two years since you've gotten rain of any significance. That seems hard to believe. Nice work on the rain.
It really has been a couple of years of drought. It's dry, dusty and alot less green than normal. The rivers and aquifers have been drying up also. This rain is so good for everything right now.
A very nice design for this lively splash of water. I like the way that you create a tonal range without any cross-hatching or shading. Very impressive. As for your weather situation, we may grumble about all the snow and ice here up north, but a long lasting drought must be equally hard to deal with. I hope the upcoming seasons won't be too cruel.

ReplyDeletewish we could send you all the snow we've had this winter. great bit of work!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Joseph. It would be cool if we could redirect excess runoff to places where water is needed.
ReplyDeleteYeah, with the rain we had this winter, it's hard to imagine someone is excited enough to draw it! let's exchange your sun and our rain.

Thank you, Michael. Something as simple as feeling squishy ground under my feet is a wonderful thing. No dust is also a very nice change.
ReplyDeleteI favor lines over cross-hatching or shading because it adds motion, which brings a bit more life to the art. Thank you again!
