I sketched this scene on a back road outside of Dripping Springs, Texas. The weather is very hot and arrid. These little tree groupings are an invitation to a break from the sun.
I found your blog from skineart... I love all of your stuff! Coincidentally, I just moved back from San Marcos/Texas State. I miss the hill country and your pictures of succulents and knotted trees are tempting to me to go back. Keep it up!
30 years ago I lived out on hwy 6 and Westhiemer...back when that was still out in the country. I learned to canoe in Sugar Creek back when it was still a creek with the sugar mill. Times change! You're not far from San Marcos, good that you still get up this way.
