woodland flowers

Lillies of the Valley and woodland Violets.  They smell so wonderful and they are everywhere.

I finally got a new Moleskine brand sketchbook. I just love these little books.  The paper is thick and buttery smooth.  The size is perfect, 5.5 x 7".  These pages will inspire me to make more art.  It's like reuniting with an old friend.

Susan, I use Moleskine sketch books too, but my drawings never look like yours. So cool. What medium did you use to color the lilly of the valley drawing?

This is great, Susan. Nice to see you sketching these beautiful images again. Your style is very unique; it stands out immediately. I hope your new Moleskine fills up quickly.

Thank you both. I appreciate comments. Anonymous...I use the moleskine sketchbooks with the heavier paper. It is durable, doesn't bleed through and has a soft, buttery feel (and look). I mostly use Faber-Castell pens, the brush pen being my favorite. The coloring is done with plain ol' color pencils.
